Project overview

Context masterplanned this iconic four-stage development introducing vertical living to Albany. Situated on an attractive 20,000m² lakeside site, it will ultimately feature around 800 apartments.

Continuous ground-floor frontage of retail and hospitality will ensure a vibrant atmosphere that spills out onto the public plaza. Phase one is 200 apartments on 6,700m² with flexible live/work options and ground floor commercial tenancies. Phases two and three encompass a further 13,300m².

The development is broken down into a series of buildings with a range of architectural treatments, providing interest and variation but still reading as a unified design. The form and materials alternate and shift as you move around the development, creating a legible environment that enhances way-finding, as well as providing character. Public and private realms have been carefully considered to create a sense of security and ownership amongst residents.

Well-received by council, the design includes extensive public landscaping and a new public road.
